  • 10 candy canes, crushed
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, melt butter and chocolate chips together in the microwave or on a double boiler. Let cool to room temperature.
  3. Add in eggs and buttermilk and beat well by hand.
  4. Gradually combine dry brownie mix into wet mixture, beating by hand until well blended.
  5. Spread batter evenly into a lightly greased 8-inch square pan. Cover with crushed candy canes.
  6. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until sides of brownies begin to pull away from the pan. Allow to cool completely in pan on a wire rack, then lightly loosen the sides and cut to serve.
