Ingredients

  • 1 box Golden Cornbread Mix
  • 1 tin Green Chili Spice Blend
  • 1 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup Cooking oil
  • 1 cup Corn Fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

Green Chile Golden Cornbread Recipe

Add some amazing kick to our Golden Cornbread by adding our Green Chili Spice Blend, corn and cheese to make a savory side to go with soup, chili or really anything!

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Grease a 8×8 inch baking dish.
  3. Combine cornbread dry mix, Green Chile Spice Blend, 2 eggs, 1 1/3 cup milk and 1/4 cup oil in a medium bowl.
  4. Stir until moistened.
  5. Stir in corn and cheese, and then pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

The corn bread was delicious and a perfect compliment to the lentil soup. The green chili spice blend was a nice addition.


Received both the Golden Cornbread Mix and Green Chili Spice Blend as part of a larger gift but didn't know what to do with it. Stumbled upon this recipe and decided to use it as a way to spice up the usual pinto beans and cornbread meal. This recipe is amazing! A unique twist to cornbread that has me looking to order more.
